Microwave chocoflan

For lovers of chocoflan, we present this incredibly easy recipe that you will love, as it’s made with a microwave chocolate cake and the delicious D’GariVanilla Flavored Flanwith its rich caramel.

  • 1 box of D’Gari® Vanilla Flavored Flan with Caramel
  • 2 tablespoons of D’Gari® Liquid Vanilla
  • 1/2 tablespoon of REXAL® Baking Powder
  • 10 tablespoons of flour
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 8 tablespoons of milk
  • 6 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of melted dark chocolate
  • 4 cups of warm milk
  • 1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate

Maraschino cherries to taste



In a bowl, mix the flour with the sugar, REXAL Baking Powder, milk, D’Gari Liquid Vanilla, oil, eggs, and 1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate until you get a homogeneous mixture.


Pour the mixture into previously greased and floured individual microwave-safe containers or cups, filling 1/4 of the container.


Cook in the microwave for about 5 minutes; let it cool.


For the flan, pour and mix the D’Gari Vanilla Flavored Flan with Caramel in the warm milk. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until it starts to boil, then cook for 3 minutes. Cool, being careful not to let it set.


Brush the top of the sponge cake with the melted chocolate and let it dry. Pour the flan on top to fill the containers and refrigerate until set. Decorate with caramel and maraschino cherries.

Tips from D’Gari

Coating the cake with melted chocolate is to “waterproof” the chocoflan sponge so that it doesn’t absorb the flan before it sets. The cooking time of the cake will depend on the power of your microwave oven.
